Ontario Pond Receives WICC “Hall of Flame” Award

The Ontario Board of Directors of the Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade has inducted Blue Goose Ontario into the “Hall of Flame” at the 13th Anniversary Fundraising Gala, on April 8, 2009 at the Weston Harbour Castle Hotel. WICC’s main ambition is to raise funds and awareness to support research projects that will hopefully one day eradicate the terrible diseases of breast and prostrate cancer.
Blue Goose was nominated and selected in appreciation for choosing WICC as the charity of choice for many years with contributions exceeding the $100,000 mark. WICC’s highest level of recognition, the Hall of Flame award was created in 2005 to recognize the profound impact made by organizations that elevate WICC’s awareness by engaging employees and/or a surrounding community, and whose commitment of contributions has spanned over several years. WICC’s Hall of Flame inductees enjoy this recognition forever!
Over 600 industry colleagues participated on April 8th in festivities of a Zen Garden Gras themed evening encompassing cocktails, dinner, silent auction and raffle. This event sells out every year. Our Pond was very honoured to be inducted and it was a profoundly proud moment for all Ganders in attendance.
